Why we chose it
Mental Athletic Issue #5 continues the publication's exploration of sport as a cultural practice rather than simply a pursuit of performance. Through photography, essays, interviews, and visual storytelling, the issue moves between running, design, art, music, and contemporary creative communities. Featuring Blondey McCoy alongside athletes, designers, and emerging cultural voices, it offers a perspective on movement that extends beyond training data and race results. We like it because it reminds us that running exists within a much larger ecosystem of ideas, people, and places.
Why do we use it?
To stay connected to the ideas, people, and culture that shape running beyond training plans and race calendars.
Who is it for?
Runners who enjoy thoughtful storytelling and are interested in the broader creative culture surrounding the sport.
